About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7TH SIGNAL COMMAND, 106TH SIGNAL BRIGADE, Fort Bliss, Texas.
Duties
Serves as the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Fort Bliss GCSS-Army Program Manager for maintenance management.
Establishes a quality control program for maintenance, repairs, and scheduled services.
Serves as one of the logistical liaisons for supply activities.
Maintains surveillance overstock to determine need for repacking, preservation, and overall maintenance of
stored items.
Reviews and coordinates lateral transfers for NEC property book items.
Coordinates with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the material receipt, warehousing, storage, turn-in and issue of supplies, equipment and material required to support the mission.
Assists Primary Hand Receipt Holder in accountability and management of all hand receipts.
Accomplishes supply, clerical, and technical support work, such as preparing the documentation to requisition, issue and disposition of general supplies and equipment, for support operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- TDY up to 25% may be required.
- The incumbent must obtain and maintain at a minimum a SECRET security clearance with a T3 background investigation. Failure to do so may result in separation from the Federal Service.
- Pre-appointment physical and annual physical required due to lifting and moving of equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Must be capable of operating a motor vehicle and maintaining a valid state driver's license.
- Must have completed an approved Accident Avoidance Course (AAC) in order to drive non-tactical vehicles dispatched from TMP. The incumbent may be required to obtain a government driver's license.
- Must obtain and maintain a forklift operator's certification to operate a forklift for loading and transporting equipment and supplies.
