The selectee of this position serves as a Administrative Support Assistant (OA). You will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical support duties (e.g., file management, database management, updating and maintaining prisoner production calendars etc.).
Duties
As a Administrative Support Assistant (OA) at the GS-0303-7 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Receiving, reviewing, coordinating, maintaining, monitoring, and recording a variety of criminal case actions.
Utilizing office automation equipment and various software packages (commercial and propriety to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) to accomplish work.
Composing non-technical correspondence based on brief verbal instructions or written notes.
Communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders concerning prisoner movement.

Qualifications
GS-07 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0303-07 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 or equivalent grade level which includes 1) Coordinating the movement of prisoners; 2) Maintaining an automated database program; 3) Processing a variety of legal actions such as condemnation orders, writ of attachment, garnishment, etc.; and 4) Utilizing Microsoft office suites to draft correspondence, record data, present information etc.
AND
B. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
