You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management, Commander, Navy Region Marianas of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS.

Duties

You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of origination's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, internal controls, and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the origination's program and activities. You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.

• This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) analyzing financial programs; and developing, recommending and implementing budgetary/financial policies. 2) experience with defense travel and the Defense Travel System. 3) experience coordinating efforts of performing activities and contracting offices in performing inter-government work, 4) and leading, supervising and counseling employees.
