About the Position: Serves as a General Supply Specialist responsible for common stock and supplies for all shop operations. Utilizes Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) SAP software program transactions to perform duties. Responsible for coordinating materials and components needed for D2M2 operations.
Duties
Coordinate with management, project managers, and building managers to ensure timely and accurate movement and consumption of materials required to maintain an accurate inventory.
Establish processes for inventory monitoring and audits, stock rotation requirements and order expediting.
Establish supply records and determine and maintain stock levels based on consumption and operating needs.
Perform necessary documentation, inventory, tagging, binning, re-warehousing, replenishment, by project, and disposal of shop items.
Develop recommendations to improve forecasting/supply/demand requirements planning.
Apply supply planning, analytical techniques, data sources, and processes using supply planning tools.
Estimate and order common stock and supplies necessary for all shop operations.
Utilize Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) to process and document material movements, inventory management, issue materials, and other related transactions.
Maintain data integrity in LMP and is responsible for conducting annual inventories for all D2M2 buildings and locations.
Complete building inspections, submit real property work orders, and coordinate with fire, safety, environmental, and base ops to ensure buildings are in proper working condition.
Complete snow removal for D2M2 buildings and operate trucks, forklifts, and other equipment outfitted with snow removal equipment.
Manage the use of the Central Supply Store for all Production Division employees.
Operate a 1/2 to 2 1/2 ton pickup truck to transport supplies and materials and operate truck using all safety precautions while transporting.
May operate a forklift capable of lifting up to 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches to load, unload, and stack boxes and crates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain forklift certification within 6 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and spreadsheet software in the performance of supply tracking, data input, review and correction of supply requisitions. Providing reports, data and analysis to resolve supply problems in accordance with applicable supply regulations, policies and procedures. Receiving, inspecting and storing items; stocking, arranging or rotating items using hand trucks, dollies and/or other material handling equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
