Duties

Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements, determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them. Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience. Leads and provides excellent service delivery to customers. Prioritizes customer needs strategically; aligns available resources to achieve quality and timely response to internal and external customers. Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations. Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. Coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.

  • May require a one-year probationary period.
  • An applicant appointed to this position must possess (or obtain within 30 days of entrance on duty) and maintain a valid state driver's license while employed in this position.

Qualifications

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the qualification requirements -please be sure to include this information in your resume. You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Experience with the implementation of a Business, Administrative, and Support Services Program; preparing briefing reports; conducting technical and policy matters briefings; experience carrying out complex assignments in a highly original and collaborative manner, frequently involving multiple internal and external groups and teams; supervisory experience on a permanent basis or as an "acting." Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level.
