This Individual Assistant Branch Director position is located in the Maui Long Term Recovery Office, Recovery Division in Individual Assistance Branch. The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of emergency management, directives, policies, regulations, procedures, and methods. Someone that would be able to Direct Housing operations, implement community disaster relief programs and mass care services at a moments notice and also has knowledge of the Individual Assistance Programs.

In this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position, you will oversee staff who perform substantive mission-oriented work in a FEMA Long Term Recovery Office (LTRO) and serving as a senior level advisor to LTRO and Regional recovery staff and leadership concerning policy issues dealing with assisting individuals and/or communities by providing disaster support and delivering disaster assistance.

To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Providing supervisory oversight of employees to achieve organizational goals; including identifying priorities, evaluating performance and reviewing outcomes;
Building partnerships with state and local governments and voluntary organizations; and
Implementing policies and procedures regarding disaster assistance program eligibility and compliance.
