Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as coordinating with the internal agency and/or other federal agencies to improve pollution prevention and/or sustainable materials management with a focus on outreach. Provides technical assistance to stakeholders, and lead in the development tools and other resources.Your application package will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Ability to communicate effectively with groups inside and outside the agency.
Skills in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to environmental studies concerning the efficiencies and effectiveness of pollution prevention and/or sustainable materials management.
Skill to communicate agency positions effectively and persuasively to persons and groups with varying levels of interest.
Knowledge in environmental regulatory and voluntary programs.
Skills in written communication,
Knowledge of project management.
Knowledge of grants, contract or cooperative agreement management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
