You will serve as a General Business & Industrial Specialist in the Rapid Capability Engineering and Integration Department, Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division.

Duties

You will assist with the development of rapid response contract documentation for allocating resources among various project efforts. You will assist with reviewing and tracking contract related trends, documentation, and records to include audit records. You will assist with planning requirements for rapid response systems, program initiatives and project plans. You will assist with tracking the operating programs within cost and schedule. Duties will be of a recurring nature as directed. You will perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: (1) Demonstrating working knowledge and experience with planning, execution, coordination, and oversight of business-related operations (e.g. budget development, corporate-level support agreements, facilities and logistics management, administrative management) in support of an acquisition program; (2) Assisting in selecting, acquiring, storing, and distributing organizational resources (e.g. material, equipment, financial resources, inventory) to accomplish acquisition program objectives; (3) Utilizing budget management tools; (4) Managing financial and contracts data; (5) Demonstrating problem solving skills that balance the interests of the agency mission and stakeholders; and (6) Analyzing data, setting priorities, and administering resources efficiently in support of acquisition program. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-09 Grade Level:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
