This position is located within a National Interagency Support Cache (NISC). This position provides administrative assistance and support for supplies and equipment at a NISC and involves supply management, database utilization and document processing for considerable amounts of property and supplies. Duties

Duties listed are at the full performance GS-07 level. Maintains supplies, equipment, and electronic systems used to track a variety of supply inventory for all phases of the National Interagency Support Cache (NISC) activities. Provides management oversight, leadership, and employee training in the application of the Interagency Cache Business System (ICBS) utilized within the NISC. Performs extensive searches for required information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transaction assignments in support of all levels of Cache operations. Maintains, prepares, and records all accounts and records for material handling functions and ensures compliance with all applicable material handling policies, regulations, and procedures. Conducts a wide variety of supply database transactions and operations using the “closed loop” inventory management system. Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials. Purchases a wide range of supplies, services, materials, and equipment using a variety of recognized service agreements or contracts.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Note on Experience: Your resume must clearly document the following for each block of work experience; the beginning day, month and year the work assignment started and ended; the hours worked per week; position title, and series and grade if applicable; and description of duties performed. This information must be provided for each permanent, temporary or seasonal appointment/work assignment or volunteer work and should be clearly documented as a separate block of time. Incomplete, inaccurate or conflicting work history may not be credited for qualifications purposes. This can result in an applicant not being considered for the position. Specialized Experience Requirement: GS-06: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: Conducting data entry and document processing for a variety of program areas within an incident support cache; and/or Maintaining accounts and records for material handling functions in compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and procedures; and/or Investigating and reconciling routine and recurring discrepancies for supply transactions within an automated data system, such as overages, shortages, receipt, shipment, and/or stock control; and/or Preparing and receiving purchase orders and submitting for final approval in accordance with unit funding and organizational policies. OR One full year (18 semester hours) of successfully completed graduate level education in coursework directly related to the position. For example, Logistics Management, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. OR An appropriate combination of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience. GS-07: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: Maintaining supplies, equipment, database utilization, and document processing for a variety of program areas within an incident support cache; and/or Preparing and maintaining accounts and records for material handling functions in compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and procedures; and/or Investigating and resolving unusual or difficult problems associated with complex supply transactions relating to shipping, receiving, returns, refurbishment and/or kitting; and/or Creating, committing, and submitting purchase orders for final approval in accordance with current price quotes, unit funding, and organizational policies. OR One full year (18 semester hours) of successfully completed graduate level education in coursework directly related to the position. For example, Logistics Management, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. OR An appropriate combination of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience.
