THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE OFFICER, Position Description Number PDD1640000 and is part of the WY 153rd Maintenance Group, Wyoming Air National Guard.
This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
Duties
This position is located at the 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. Its purpose is to serve as the 153d Maintenance Group Commander, with responsibility for directing, and managing the aircraft maintenance functions. It partners with the Wing Commander, as well as the Mission Support Group, and the Operations Group Commanders in planning, scheduling, and implementing an Operationally Risk Managed (ORM) flying program.
The scope of work for the positions is identified with an authorized work force ranging from 325 to 674 Military Technicians, Traditional Guard members, Active Guard/Reserve (AGR), National Guard Title 5 employees, state employees, and contract personnel.

Qualifications
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
Primary consideration will be made from Areas 2, and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible).
Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior service military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education, or training which provided knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings and specifications, using test instruments, making computations, and keeping records. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade (GS-13) that provided experience in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facility, or service operations sufficient in planning assignments. Experience using well-established occupational methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, repair needs, etc. Experience in determination of resource needs, allocation of resources, and budgeting/funding needs. Experience in human resources management policy matters affecting the entire organization, with personnel actions affecting key employees to include experience coordinating work forces and resources and negotiating with management or clients concerning problems. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS:
Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 20C0, Logistics Commander.
DRIVER'S LICENSE:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
