About the Position: This position is as a General Supply Specialist will use a thorough knowledge of supply regulations and policies to perform continuing assignments encompassing a variety of problem situations with considerable independence.

Duties

Applies analytical processes to evaluate vehicle management programs. Assists in the GPC program and budget development processes. Performs administrative procedures to maintain accurate flow of information. Resolves supply program issues.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Employee must have or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator's License/Certificate.
  • A physical examination is required due to heavy lifting. Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

OR 5/2/2024 16:03 EDT Page 3 of 6 Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementBudget AdministrationInventory ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
