Duties
You will serve as the forward-facing customer representative for the S6 radio section responsible for inventory management of all radio frequency related equipment that support the work done by the section.
You will receive equipment and components with work orders from station, tenant, and external commands for routine use and operations within the MCAS Yuma area of operations.
You will program radio frequency equipment for both Low Altitude Radio Communications System and Land Mobile Radio equipment for use by tenant and external commands for training as well as first responder support.
You will conduct operator familiarization training for command, tenant, and visiting personnel using radio assets.
You will work under the direction of a mechanic or supervisor in the fabrication, installation, modification, overhaul, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of electronic equipment.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require shift work, overtime, and the incumbent may be recalled to duty.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to work under extreme adverse desert environmental conditions.
- You will be required to have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
