Duties

You will serve as the forward-facing customer representative for the S6 radio section responsible for inventory management of all radio frequency related equipment that support the work done by the section. You will receive equipment and components with work orders from station, tenant, and external commands for routine use and operations within the MCAS Yuma area of operations. You will program radio frequency equipment for both Low Altitude Radio Communications System and Land Mobile Radio equipment for use by tenant and external commands for training as well as first responder support. You will conduct operator familiarization training for command, tenant, and visiting personnel using radio assets. You will work under the direction of a mechanic or supervisor in the fabrication, installation, modification, overhaul, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of electronic equipment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You will be required to possess and maintain the applicable license(s), certification(s) and authorization(s) to operate assigned equipment and accomplish assigned duties.
• This position may require shift work, overtime, and the incumbent may be recalled to duty.
• You will be required to work under extreme adverse desert environmental conditions.
• You will be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
