This position is in the Digital Content Strategy and Experience Division of the National Gallery of Art. The role reports the Chief Digital Officer. The Senior Manager of Social Media is responsible for setting strategic direction and managing the National Gallery of Art’s multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-1035-13. For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, operating a social media page for a museum or cultural institution.

1. Ability to monitor different social media sites and track user activity in order to make recommendations.
2. Knowledge of program management functions for the purpose of design, research, production, and creation of content.
3. Skill in communicating with a variety of audiences using a combination of videos and posts.
