This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. You will be responsible is to plan, coordinate, facilitate and provide live support for the development of high-level relations/alliances in support of the Comptroller General (CG), Executive Committee, and agencywide priority programs.

Duties

As aExternal Relations Program Manager, PT, 0301, 3, your typical work assignments may include the following: Consult with and counsel the SPEL Managing Director and other GAO senior management. Directs and oversees efforts to identify, recruit and maintain networks of experts for priority areas of GAO and congressional client needs, in consultation and collaboration with agency subject matter experts and other program leaders. Develops high level communication strategies to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of outreach for external relations, by identifying and using a wide range of technical tools. Design, develop, implement, and promote programs and initiatives related to external relation policies, programs, and operational procedures. Builds external stakeholder relationships and establishes strategic partnerships; collaborates with others to address issues or solve problems and ensure needs are met.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the BAND III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to manage the external relations function within and for an organization, to include, leading the development of high-level relations/alliances as well as experience creating programs and initiatives related to external relation policies, and knowledge of operational procedures.
