Duties

Responsible for conduct of credible scientific evaluations and assessments of hydrological, water quality, biological, ecological, water supply, and other responses related to Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan implementation. The position requires a broad scientific technical environmental background and experience in Corps of Engineers aquatic ecosystem restoration policies and regulations. Consults and coordinates activities with Program and Project Management in accordance with the Project Management Business Process, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Reviews individual project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain project benefits. Furnishes scientific information and recommendations as to the effects of proposed projects on environmental resources along with management measures to avoid, minimize or mitigate for potential adverse effects.
