About the Position: responsible for planning, execution/coordination and evaluation of prevention activities (policies, programs and practices), training, education, and outreach for sexual harassment and sexual assault. Directly supports the senior commander and supports the coordination and implementation of comprehensive primary prevention activities that address individual, interpersonal, organizational and community factors that contribute to sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Duties

Analyze, assess, and clearly communicate program objectives, policies, operations, and resource data to ensure efficiency in the development and execution of the command’s SHARP-related prevention activities. Incumbent has the responsibility for initiating, designing, monitoring, reviewing and assessing existing SHARP Program prevention activities and providing recommendations and conclusions. Present recommendations and conclusions based on analysis and assessment to stakeholders for their use in ensuring efficiency and balance in the execution of operating SHARP Program prevention capabilities. Coordinate, plan, and facilitate workshops, seminars, councils, boards, conferences and similar forums. Establish primary prevention activities to include determining goals, objectives, measures of performance, measures of effectiveness, assessments, and milestones.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Requires successful completion of OSD and/or Army-level prevention training course and completion of all requirements within 90 days of being in the position.
  • Position is Mission Essential.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Position requires working overtime on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Background checks against all records required by law, Office of Personnel Management, DoD, and Army policy or regulation will be conducted prior to entering on duty in the position. Checks will be performed on a recurring basis while employed.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: Coordinate activities among the community to promote prevention of sexual harassment and assault; conduct risk assessments to identify the need for specific types of preventative training required at various locations throughout the organization(s); and provide recommendations regarding administrative and operational aspects to enhance readiness across numerous organizations concerning the prevention of sexual harassment and assault. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
