About the Position: This position is for Base Operational Medical Clinic located at 21st MDG Peterson SFB. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Responsible for healthcare quality, healthcare risk management (HRM), accreditation, and/or strategic planning activities and initiatives for two geographically separated Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Serves as consultant and advisor to all levels of senior management within the organization and activities tasked with PI responsibilities. Serves as a liaison with the local Market to synchronize strategic initiatives with DHA initiatives. Leads complex projects, often expanding across assigned MTFs, to include other groups within the Medical Wing lines of effort. Serves as a Joint Commission (JC) subject matter expert, compliance consultant and liaison between the assigned MTF's and accrediting agencies.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
• Required to obtain necessary immunizations (i.e., Hepatitis B, annual influenza) unless exempted by a physician.
• This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 2% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of Specialized experience which includes: Conduct projects to evaluate and/or recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in healthcare risk management programs; Analyzing data to identify trends or patterns that may impact quality care or pose risks; Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical care delivery. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
