About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence & Security CMD U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command HQ FT. Meade, MD..

Duties

Conducts threat financial intelligence research and all-source analysis of data to provide threat financial intelligence products, assessments on threat financiers, facilitators, financial operations, and networks associated with counterintelligence. Serves as a General Military Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command, Directorate of Intelligence, Regional Support Division, Threat Finance Analytic Cell, for threats to Army Automated Information Systems. Stays informed of military, political-military, technical, and other developments within assigned areas to conduct valid threat assessments. Plans, coordinates, and synthesizes research from other analysts to prepare all-source intelligence products and responses.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM staff may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel in conjunction with training and duties will up to 30% of the time.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counter-intelligence scope polygraph examination on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
