This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Cook Leader you will be responsible for providing wholesome meals to students at Haskell Indian Nations University.

Duties

As a Cook LeaderWL-7404-6, your typical work assignments may include the following: Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led. Maintaining a current knowledge, and answering questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Follow sanitary food handling procedures. Cover, label and date food items according to established policies and procedures. Clean assigned work areas; walls, ceilings, floors, worktables, walk-in refrigerators, and storage rooms. Weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients for regular, special, and modified diets. Prepare different types of food using varies methods such as braise, broil, simmer, bake, fry, steam, stew, and grill. Operate a variety of kitchen equipment which utilizes gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources. Assemble and disassemble kitchen equipment for cleaning. Qualifications
