This position is located in the Human Resources Branch, Talent Sourcing, Staffing Policy & Accountability, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and serves as the Team Lead for the Talent Sourcing team responsible for the operational administration of an agency-wide recruitment program. Duties

Provides recommendations on attracting and recruiting a diverse and highly qualified workforce through effective recruitment strategies taking into consideration the most current employment and industry trends, developments and sourcing, through the use of marketing and communication tools; prepares reports, analyzes hiring data and program effectiveness. Drafts policies, procedures and guidelines related to recruitment program; designs and develops recruitment training. Identifies and evaluates outside organizations, institutions, professional associations, colleges and universities to identify talent pools; establishes and maintains recruitment networks and alliances with a wide variety of professional, educational and employment communities. Ensures the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goal, objectives, work plans and work products and services; leads the team in identifying distributing and balancing workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checks on work in progress and reviews completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met; reports to supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, performance, problems, progress in work assignments, and recommend to the supervisor awards for individual and team performance and accomplishments. Participates in nationwide recruitment activities, attends outreach and recruitment events.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience planning and carrying out personnel activities in the area of recruitment; establishing and maintaining recruitment networks and alliances; developing recruitment training; implementing short and long-term recruitment and marketing strategies; organizing workload and leading projects.
