THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a MOBILIZATION AND DEPLOYMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2025000 and is part of the NC G3, National Guard (G3-Mob Readiness/ Manning Document 1423-414).
Duties
As a MOBILIZATION AND DEPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-09, you will develop, coordinate, and distribute guidelines for formalizing and structuring Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Soldier Readiness Checks at all levels; provide guidance and assistance to subordinate units in Mobilization Planning Data View coordination and synchronization with deploying units, medical detachments, Office of the State Surgeon, G3, G4, and other State agencies and programs; perform and provide guidance to personnel and administrative actions related to SRP processing; monitor, compile, and communicate statistics of deploying units; assist in developing and coordination of appropriated and non-appropriated funds budgets; coordinate composition of the SRP manning requirements; utilize Personnel Policy Guidance (PPG) and appropriate policies and regulations to make SRP specific judgments; coordinate with mobilizing unit chain of command, intermediate commands, SRP site proponent, JFHQ, Mobilization Station LNO, and various State agencies and organizations to insure that procedures meet office needs and are understood and followed; establish and review, update and develop administrative procedures that affect orderly and efficient flow of work within the SRP and overall HR portion of the mobilization of the unit; assist and advise action officers on procedural and administrative aspects of staff actions; assign actions to the appropriate office within the directorate; provide guidance on response to action or prepare response; review and evaluate special projects and action papers submitted; maintain SRP master calendars and related appointment/meeting schedules; coordinate and arrange meetings and conference events; prepare agendas for meeting and conferences, and document and publish summary of minutes from meetings and conferences.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications
MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted (E4 to E7) Warrant Officer (WO1 to CW4) or Officer (CPT to MAJ)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 24 months) of experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
Substitution of Education for the Specialized Experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of 1 month of education for two months of specialized experience.
