Duties
You will interpret and enforce state and federal laws, directives, rules, and regulations.
You will detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions and take required action to resolve various incidents/situations and request additional support, if necessary.
You will perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism, and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets, unrestricted access points, and large populations.
You will apprehend or detain individuals in accordance with regulations or laws.
Requirements

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to wear a uniform and required equipment continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying law enforcement procedures, regulations, and operations to perform routine, recurring kinds of fixed post assignments; 2) Preparing police reports concerning incidents and actions taken; and 3) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws.

Physical Demands: requires regular and recurring periods of physical exertion derived from such activities as: running, walking, standing, climbing, bending, driving, and lifting/carrying heavy items weighing more than 50 pounds. May require working in extreme climates for extended periods of time. Requires physical stamina, agility, and strength to defend, pursue, or apprehend.
Work Environment: Exposure to regular and reoccurring discomforts such as extreme weather conditions while directing traffic or performing patrols. Exposed to high noise levels. Exposed to moderate to high risks including possible endangerment of life or serious injury.
Education
The following education can be substituted for specialized experience: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science, or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position, or a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.
