This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Managing day-to-day operations of a medical practice on Eglin Air Force Base located in the western Florida Panhandle.

Duties

Coordination of information to effectively manage clinic workload. Scheduling oversight for maximum provider productivity Incumbent participates in interviews and orientation of employees. Incumbent arranges training for employees in all aspects of risk and safety. Planning and adjusting clinic operations to meet established program requirements. Prepares reports, statistical surveys, and budget requests for the administration of assigned clinic(s) and resolves management problems. Ensure effective front-end business operations, including authorization, and insurance verification. Ability to create templates to gather and organize data. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Monitor and coordinate with clinic leadership on the effective use of clinic resources in the treatment of patients.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the business operations of a medical practice, analyzing data to advise on performance trends, scheduling of medical providers, assisting with business reports and monitoring clinic resources, administering patient care systems in accordance with practice compliance, tracking personnel performance programs, supporting and maintaining organization policies, ensuring clinic services are communicated effectively. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
