The Compliance Division (CD) administers the Executive Branch financial disclosure program and monitors and reviews agency ethics programs to ensure compliance with applicable ethics requirements established by statutes, rules, regulations, and Executive Orders.
As a Program Support Specialist, you will perform a wide variety of duties to maintain an administrative infrastructure that facilitates operations and provides tools to effectively and efficiently achieve OGE program goals.
Duties
As a Program Support Specialist, you will:
- Manage administrative workflow of the agency to ensure the orderly, accurate, and timely transmission of all matters.
- Serve all of the agency's divisions by providing administrative and legal support. Respond to administrative inquiries and help resolve conflicts.
- Perform information searches and analyze data and information to support OGE staff, including Senior Staff, in decision-making on key issues.
- Use office automation applications to produce a wide range of documents into final form from own composition, brief instructions or rough draft from other staff members. Use database or spreadsheet applications to enter, revise, sort, and retrieve data for reports; and use graphic software to provide charts and graphs.
- Receive all visitors and direct all phone calls agencywide. Greet visitors, assign badges when needed, log incoming correspondence, and determine proper routing of calls based on knowledge of the identity of the caller and the nature of the information requested.
Qualifications
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- accessing databases and maintaining spreadsheets; AND
- serving as point-of-contact for visitors and callers; AND
- performing and solving problems of routine office functions; AND
- independently creating and reviewing office correspondence for correct grammar, punctuation, format and writing style.
OR
You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. if related
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-09, you must have been at the GS-07level for 52 weeks.
