The primary purpose of this position is to serve as audiovisual production specialist responsible for planning, directing, providing support for Presentations/Video Conferences, classified/unclassified communications, equipment management for the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff, HAF entities, District of Washington, DoD Services and other agencies in the NCR.
Duties
Serve as audiovisual (A/V) production specialist responsible for planning, directing, organizing and providing AV support for Presentations/Video Conference system operations, classified and unclassified communications media, equipment management and maintenance for support to the Secretary of the Air Force (SecAF), Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF), other HAF entities, Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), DoD Services and other world-wide Federal agencies in the NCR.
Serves as multi-media specialist for the Smart Conference Center.
Serves as System Designer for the Smart Conference Center.
Serves as focal point for all audio/visual equipment.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates customer service VTC requests.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. GS-1001 General Arts and Information Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-9, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes of the process, methodologies, equipment, and requirements necessary to produce audiovisual/ teleconferencing productions. Must be knowledgeable of the use of software required to manipulate and present computer images and the ability to perform required video teleconference and presentation services. Knowledge and understanding of video teleconferencing studio equipment and capabilities: to include network policies and procedures required to plan, schedule, and conduct teleconferencing services directly available to MAJCOMS, SMC Commanders and their representatives, and other high-level officials for use or distribution.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-9 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the use and application of specialized multimedia and presentations support equipment, digital signage hardware and software systems to achieve desired results. Effectively manage, monitor and maintain the efficiency of multimedia systems with the ability to set up, diagnose and effect onsite repair of such systems.
Knowledge of current video production technologies and audiovisual presentation/production methods, including knowledge of processes, methodologies, personnel requirements, and equipment needs.
Knowledge of the operations, products, services, needs, and goals of programs and other organizations serviced, and related customers, functions, resources, and users.
Knowledge of specific activities such as safety, customer relations, records management, budgeting, contracting, supply/equipment procurement, contract and vendor services as well as any specialized processes utilized, to correctly determine requirements, costs and timeframes and effectively manage resources and personnel necessary for effective and efficient operation of professional multi-faceted presentation support.
Ability to communicate ideas concerning visual media while exercising tact and diplomacy.
Knowledge of Air Force policies, procedures, security regulations, and other administrative requirements pertinent to the efficient use and operation of multimedia, VI, and VTC facilities.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
