The purpose of this position is to provide patients with timely accurate imaging services in accordance with established practices and to prevent loss of follow up of patients during evaluation that often requires return visits and multiple imaging modalities to establish a diagnosis. *Continued on addition information section* This position is located that the Chinle Service Unit, Division of Clinical Services, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF), Radiology Department, Chinle, AZ.
Duties
Triage incoming referrals for all types of breast imaging and enters external images, reports, or results into tracking systems and EHR.
Provides recommendations to providers and explains and review details with patients who have questions or concerns regarding referrals/consults.
Provides Navajo interpretation services for patients as needed.
Receives, relays, and responds to a variety of incoming calls and correspondence.
Maintain patient imagine results, medical information, and other files.
Assists in film archiving.
Keep all statistical information accurate as required for maintenance of good standing with the American College of Radiology, Food & Drug Administration, and Mammography Quality Standard Act.
Train and assist satellite service units on mobile mammogram processes, digital image transfers, and report status management in the EHR to allow consistency and completeness in these evluations across the service unit sites.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GS-4: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office or other work that indicates ability to perform the work of this position at the GS-4 level.
GS-05: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples includes: reading & completing accurate statistical reports while adhering to certification deadlines on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; operates Mamostats, EHR, scheduling system-Mamo/CT/ultrasound/MRI and x-ray to assist with patient care; Independently troubleshoots automated system or machines; import, export, transmit, archive, and/or send images to outside facilities to provide patient care; Provide appropriate case management by reading breast image and pathology reports then aiding providers in guidance for further evaluation.
SUBSTITUTING EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
GS-04: 2 years of education above the high school level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
GS-05: 4 years of education above the high school level.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
