Duties
As a SUPERVISORY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Storage Branch (TCJ9-OS). Make recommendations for changes in DoD programs to maintain high quality movement/storage services.
Assign work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities, complexity, and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
Review, analyze, and test new or revised transportation and traffic management policies and procedures, and for making recommendations for enhancing household goods, storage and transportation.
Monitor contract operations to ensure compliance and identify significant trends in the moving industry.
Develop factors and input for acquisition plans and milestones for the acquisition cycle, and oversee technical evaluation boards that necessitate broad knowledge of storage policies.
Requirements
- Employee must obtain/maintain a secret security clearance
- This position is designated as a key position. Duties of this position are essential to accomplishment of wartime contingency operations

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of personal property storage, and ensuring that personal property storage meets regulatory requirements.
Developing regulatory guidance for household goods storage-in-transit (SIT) and non-temporary storage (NTS), or similar storage management programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
