Duties
As a SUPERVISORY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Operations Support and Policy (OX) Branch, ensuring customer needs are met and DP3 policy is aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain knowledge on DOD's current policy for contract acquisition, industry and DOD's rate tariffs, industry requirements for movement and storage of personal property, emerging DOD-unique requirements, and commercial best practices for moving and storing personal property shipments.
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Represent the Operations Support and Policy Branch with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Provide senior-level transportation specialist assistance and staff-level support to key officials within USTRANSCOM, the DOD and industry.

- This position is designated as a Key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying transportation and traffic management policies and procedures for making recommendations for enhancements to the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3).
Ensuring policy and procedure alignment of tender of service agreements, contract vehicles, travel regulations, and business rules for Household Goods (HHG), Non-Temporary Storage (NTS), and Privately Owed Vehicles (POV) programs.
Establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with high-ranking military officials, employees, and representatives of other Federal agencies and/or private industry.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
