About the Position: You will provide overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle.
Duties
Serves as the Supervisory Product Support Manager (PSM) for the assigned acquisition program reporting directly to the Program Executive Officer, Program Manager, or Product Manager.
Plans, organizes, and directs the product support operations of the functional unit.
Oversees cost estimating, planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability, product support integrators and product support providers, and oversight of the product support function.
Reviews and approves selections, promotions, and reassignments of personnel.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field - Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position. This position requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 level in the Federal Service, which includes the ability to: (1) Interpreting technical policy, procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities; (2) Applying concepts and theories of logistics management to evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs; (3) Briefing commands of program developments that affect distribution, logistics, and support planning; AND (4) Developing product support strategies and life cycle sustainment plans in accordance with Army acquisition policies and procedures.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent).
