You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Public Works Department of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will evaluate supply and inventory management database reports to monitor compliance with system requirements and procedures. You will analyze inventories to forecast operation needs. You will conduct inventories (e.g., monthly, annual, cyclic, special purpose) to maintain supplies at acceptable stock levels. You will brief management officials or representatives on a program status in situations where new methods may be controversial. You will collaborate with equipment specialists, engineers, and cognizant personnel to verify descriptive data and usage information of supply parts. You will document disposal papers for excess materials and equipment.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: : 1 Knowledge and skill in the principles and theories of material procurement process; 2 Accountability of materials, and the ability to use automated information systems to transfer data requirements; 3) Ability to work independently with minimum oversight. .NOTE: This information must be fully supported in your resume. Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
