Salary: $107 809 - 191 100 per year

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one year of experience at the GS-13 level that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: -Serving as an expert-level resource on their team; this may include written and oral response to inquiries or requests from grantees, other partners, the general public, and/or state/local officials; AND -Advising, assisting, and training staff as well as local community officials, non-profit or for-profit entities, consultants, or contractors on program requirements and implementation; AND -Meeting community development, affordable housing, and homeless needs in a comprehensive, consolidated manner; AND -Analyzing of reports, system data, and other metrics related to grantee, office, and regional performance. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: -Serving as a resource on their team; this may include written and oral response to inquiries or requests; AND -Advising, assisting, and training staff; AND -Meeting community development, affordable housing, and homeless needs; AND -Analyzing of reports, system data, and other metrics. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
