This assignment is a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment. This assignment is within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence, Washington, DC. Must currently hold TS/SCI clearance.

Duties

Will serve as an All-Source Collection Requirements Management (CRM) subject matter expert responsible for managing requirements from multiple intelligence disciplines in accordance with the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) process, which supports CBP analytical intelligence needs; Develops, validates, submits, and manages all-source collection requirements utilizing various intelligence requirement systems; Applying an in-depth knowledge of all-source (Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT)) collection requirements management systems and research databases capabilities; Representing the organization on the coordination of issues with law enforcement and intelligence community partners; and Preparing and presenting formal and informal briefs to senior level officials and groups while serving as an intelligence representative in forums and working groups related to intelligence collection and production issues.

  • Must be a current permanent Federal employee
  • Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment. DHS 250-2 Application Form under "required documents" section.
  • Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
  • Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation
  • Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity*
  • The program does not apply to members of the Military service or contractors.

Qualifications

Qualifications required: The Ability to think critically while developing intelligence collection postures, plans, and strategies in support of CBP initiatives. Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, delivering briefs, composing various correspondence, and collaborating with others outside the Division. Ability to use collection management software, research tools, and databases as they relate to Collection Requirements Management and/or Collection Operations Management. Ability to deliver briefings to managers to promote understanding and acceptance of intelligence assessments and recommendations.
