THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5902800 and is part of the HI 154 LRS, National Guard. LOCATION: 154th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii

Duties

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, planning, organizing, and analyzing wing logistics plans that include multiple units and may include geographically separated units. Is the technical expert on all Logistics Information Systems in support of deployment operations. The primary purpose of this position is to implement policy programs and procedures utilizing automated/non automated systems for the accurate control of Wing Logistics planning in support of Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing (AEF/AEW) Operations around the world. Serves as the program manager for the Integrated Deployment System (IDS). Reviews resource/logistics plans, programs, and deployment activities with the senior officer to insure authorized mobility equipment is available or on order, and assures that the equipment is properly budgeted. Maintains and analyzes the correlation of data between the Unit Type Code (UTC) Management Information System (UMIS), Designed Operational Capacity (DOC) statements, and all applicable plans for all wing and supported units for readiness reporting and tasking. Provides technical logistic plans support at staff meetings and working groups conducted by the Wing/Air Commander and staff. Monitors status of WRM posture for the wing and provides guidance and assistance to units. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. "This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG." NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted only after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Hawaii National Guard. b. A technician is subject to the personnel security requirements in accordance with State and NGB Publications. In addition prior to appointment, individuals will undergo a background check to validate suitability for employment with the federal government as permitted by law. Items checked include, education and fiscal accountability/responsibility. IAW 5 CFR 302.203, the following, among others, may be included as disqualifying reasons: - Dismissal from employment for delinquency or misconduct; - Criminal, infamous, dishonest, immoral, or notoriously disgraceful conduct; - Intentional false statement or deception or fraud in examination or appointment; - Habitual use of intoxicating beverages to excess; - Reasonable doubt as to the loyalty of the person involved to the Government of the United States; - Any legal or other disqualification which makes the individual unfit for service; - Lack of United States Citizenship. j. Training/Certification requirements. All applicants for a position with designated developmental training requirements must be informed in advance that failure to complete the required certifications/course(s) will be cause for removal from the position. An example of required developmental training is proponent course(s) at the National Guard Professional Education Center. The HRO will require the applicant to submit a written statement to the effect that they understand they must either satisfactorily complete the appropriate certification/course(s) or corrective action will be taken. k. Medical/physical requirements IAW DoDI 6055.05-M, paragraph C1.3.3.1, all Federal Wage System (FWS) and identified General Schedule (GS) selectees, prior to appointment, will meet any medical standards or physical requirements designated for the position. l.
