About the Position: The purpose of this position is to provide administrative, operational and technical functions in support of the Army Medical Command, located in Veterinary Services Directorate, Aberdeen Proving Ground- South, Maryland, 21005.

Duties

Reviews correspondence for completeness and adequacy of information or data. Arranges conferences and meetings as well as records the minutes of the meetings. Drafts correspondence and prepare reports as assigned. Answers routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, etc. Disseminates general information such as publication and other important materials among staff members to inform them of upcoming events and changes. Supports office functions and services in coordinating or responding to inquiries Provides support with the Defense Travel System (DTS) by preparing travel orders, arranging transportation, hotel reservations, and fielding queries. Ensures accuracy of correspondence prepared for management's signature to include format, grammar, and spelling. Provides Army Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) support to include monitoring leave usage, compensatory time, and timecard accuracy.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Office Automation. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailClericalCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
