You will serve as an Insulator Forman in the Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will direct and supervise work at job sites, interpreting plans and instruction and assigning work for the group. You will review plans, specifications, and sketches to coordinate availability of special tools, materials, and equipment. You will be responsible for working with other groups and higher-level supervisors to eliminating potential bottlenecks. You will ensure proper quantity of work from subordinates and inspect work for quality and conformance with instructions. You will closely observe and control all work operation, taking action when delays, equipment breakage, and material shortages arise. You will enforce safety, fire and good housekeeping regulations. You will act as liaison between subordinates and higher-level supervisors.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
