You will serve as a INSULATOR LEADER in the Pipe, Insulation, and Equipment Maintenance Division, Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will relay instructions from supervisors, ensuring necessary blueprints, tools, and materials are available. You will resolve problems, accomplish routine inspection of work in progress, perform periodic surveillance's and audits of shop work and or quality documentation. You will coordinate the work of the group with efforts of other trades. You will assure necessary work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, materials and special tooling are staged at the job site when needed. You will report findings on current work practices, analyze factual information and implement or recommend solutions concerning improved quality work. You will assure proper safety and housekeeping rules are observed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
