About the Position: Serves as an Electronics Technician (Biomedical) in the Department of Logistics, Equipment Maintenance Branch at Womack Army Medical Center located in Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Subsequent to purchase, takes appropriate action to enter equipment into use.
Evaluate and install sophisticated/complex medical equipment and/or systems.
Serve as an adviser for special projects involving the installation, service and repair of highly complex medical equipment and systems.
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, surveillance testing of electronic components, medical equipment and/or systems modifications based on official guidance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a military/commercial driver's license for heavy or special purpose vehicles.
- Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of physical exam.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a National Agency Check with written Inquiries (NACI) background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which installing, maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and/or testing specialized medical electronic equipment/radiological systems. Provides in-service training and assistance with medical electronic equipment/systems. Ensuring the setting up and calibrating of patient care equipment.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
