This position is located at Naval Air Station Pensacola Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Fitness Division. The incumbent will be responsible for instructing Group Exercise classes, assisting in Command PT sessions, monitoring patron safety and assisting the Fitness Coordinator.

Duties

Incumbent plans, designs, and instructs a variety of group fitness classes for small and large groups. Participates in brainstorming sessions to develop programs, events, and classes for a well-rounded physical fitness program. Keep up-to-date on the latest fitness trends, and developments. Answers questions regarding programs offered through the Fitness Center and/or other MWR facilities/services available to the customer. Continuously evaluates the participation and interest level of fitness classes and programs from the standpoint of participant responses, resources, unforeseen developments, and program objectives. Recommends program changes and variations as necessary to the Fitness Coordinator. Ensures cleanliness of exercise spaces and equipment and reports general wear and tear of collateral equipment.

Requirements

• Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
• Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
• May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
• A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
• Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Qualifications

Must possess and maintain a current CPR and AED Certification and must possess nationally recognized certification in Group Exercise.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement.
