Incumbent performs semi-skilled and routine skilled food service tasks in support of food preparation for the Recreation Department, NAS Pensacola, Florida. Incumbent's primary duties are to assist as a cook's helper in the preparation of food for regular menu fare and banquet dining.

Requirements

• A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.

Qualifications

Ability to perform all tasks and duties of a food service worker. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Skill to work quickly, efficiently, and neatly in tasks involving several steps. Ability to follow recipes and combine ingredients for salads and other food products. Ability to operate kitchen and service equipment under close supervision. Knowledge of proper food handling techniques in accordance with sanitary requirements. Incumbent must be able to work with close supervision and, on occasion, removed from direct supervision. Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience to exercise some judgment in the proper performance of recurring tasks. Incumbent is directly responsible to the food service manager.
