Duties

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) Police Officer Recruitment Program is designed to meet the goal of attracting, selecting, and hiring the most qualified candidates and to ensure that applicants understand the qualifications required for employment with the Department. Serving as a Collateral Recruitment Officer provides an additional creative outlet for sworn employees to contribute to the Department's operational and workforce success. The Recruitment Officer position is assigned to the Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing (OBIC). This opportunity is open to all USCP sworn employees below the rank of Sergeant who have attained the rank of Private First Class or Technician by the closing date of this announcement. Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.1. Must not be in restricted leave status as of the closing date of this announcement.2. Must be in full and unrestricted duty status as of the selection date unless otherwise authorized by law (e.g., performance of duty injury, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), or Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)).3. Must not have disciplinary actions for the last 3 years. All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
