About the Position:
Serve as Team Lead for a Team of Geospatial Engineers and supports the formulation and development of geospatial production efforts and takes responsibility for assignments and distribution of work within the Team, including interpreting and monitoring the analytical results. Collaborates with the Army Geospatial on geospatial production, exercises and requirements.
Duties
Serve as Team Lead within a focused geospatial support Team of a Branch of the Warfighter Support Directorate, Army Geospatial Center (AGC).
Collaborate on the work of supporting scientists and geospatial engineers within AGC, outside agencies, and contractors concerned with the mission of the Branch.
Educate customers on availability and capabilities of geospatial datasets, methodologies, procedures, and algorithms to enhance mission awareness.
Analyze, develop, test, and evaluate new processes, methodologies, and products using geospatial data and imagery in a resource constrained environment.
Communication skills, project management and awareness of emerging technology are key.
Quickly respond to short suspense requests as needed identifying and accessing all needed resources
Experience in geospatial and terrain analysis principles.
Proficiency with geospatial techniques and data systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET security clearance.
- You will be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450
- This position requires a drug test.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes: Conduct research, analysis and dissemination of complex geospatial data to meet and exceed mission requirements. Assist with the integration of complex geospatial data, using variety of existing and emerging technologies to fulfill unique requirements. Disseminate varied urban & terrain analyses through an ever-changing global network through innovative means. Identify and evolve existing data and methodologies to meet emerging requirements and provide training and briefings as needed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
