Duties
At the GS-09 and GS-11 you will perform developmental duties related to the below as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-13), you will perform the following:
You will serve as a red team operator on the Operational Test and Evaluation Force Red Team (OPTEV-RT), supporting the execution of cooperative vulnerability penetration assessment and adversarial assessments.
You will identify vulnerabilities and conduct exploitation of U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard systems.
You will operate the OPTEV-RT toolkit, assess current capabilities, and identify needed improvements.
You will assist in the development of cyber test plans and interpret and translate cyber OT and E requirements into operational test objectives.
You will generate test report products to help drive improvements to the security of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
GS-09:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of basic programming concepts and network administration. Specialized experience includes some or all of the following: 1) Conduct collection and processing of wireless computer and digital networks. 2) Conduct on-net and off-net activities to control data from deployed, automated technologies. 3) Assist in identifying applications and operating systems of a network device based on network traffic. 4) Demonstrate experience in offensive security(e.g. professional work experience, capture-the- flag teams, open source projects) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Penetration Tester.
GS-11:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of basic programming concepts and network administration. Specialized experience includes most or all of the following: 1) Conduct collection and processing of wireless computer and digital networks. 2) Conduct on-net and off-net activities to control, and exfiltrate data from deployed, automated technologies. 3) Exploit network devices, security devices, and/or terminals or environments using various methods or tools. 4) Identify applications and operating systems of a network device based on network traffic. 5) Demonstrate sufficient experience in offensive security(e.g. professional experience, capture-the-flag teams, open source projects) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)Penetration Tester (GPEN).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education:
GS-09:
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
