About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve Career Development located at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
This position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With Department of Defense (DoD) approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Duties
Supervise the day-to-day activities of full-time staff.
Recommend priority and commitment of resources for personnel, equipment and facilities.
Inspect training directives to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Analyze training manuals, directives, and manuals pertaining to training objectives.
Provide technical advisement within the organization on training.
Execute detailed budget reports for training operations.
Prepare training plans, examinations, and schedules for an organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Occasional travel away from the duty station (TDY) may be required up to 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Establishing new programs from initial operational capabilities to fully operational capabilities;
2) Managing a weapons training objectives and programs, to include training budgets; AND
3) Conducting analysis of expenditures for individual and consolidated weapons training.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
