This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Duties

As a Management and Operations Officer, you will: Manage HUD's Approved Travelers roster under FEMA Mission Assignments. This includes tracking staff assigned by MA and ensuring each is attached to correct travel and overtime codes. Involves coordination and communication across HUD HQ support offices. Process, track approval, and disseminate HUD 1040s that authorize overtime for deployed staff under FEMA MAs, ensuring each is attached to correct overtime codes. Develop and maintain a MA dashboard for the Office and field leadership that summarizes MA locations, terms, budget allotments, spending and remaining balances. Coordinate with program support offices to clarify travel and compensation policies. Communicate these policies to deployed staff in collaboration with support offices and field leadership.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Developing, implementing, and coordinating disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery activities, working closely with national and regional efforts; AND Communicating effectively to relate findings, identify problems, and present recommendations regarding disaster recovery. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
