About the Position: This position is in the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Technology, DASA(R&T) and it has responsibilities for supporting the DASA(R&T) and Director for Technology in collaborating, leveraging, and coordinating new Army technologies with international government defense agencies.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Leads working groups, ensuring International Science and Technology efforts are aligned with the Army’s priorities and projects.
Represents the Army in international planning events.
Develops Army-level input to The Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
Research evolutionary data and apply innovative technological programs with international organizations.
Develops strategic planning and process for optimizing research and developmental collaboration.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50% of the time.
- This position requires an Official Passport with no travel restrictions, or incumbent must be able to obtain a passport with no travel restrictions.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Advising on strategy development for Army Science and Technology programs; 2) Developing International research and development plans for high-level briefings or for senior leader's approval; AND 3) Implementing communication plan to ensure successful program execution.
This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.
