You will serve as a PROFESSIONAL AFFAIRS CLERK in the Centralized Credentials Review and Privileging Department of NAVMEDSUP DET JACKSONVILLE FL.

Duties

You will present orally and in writing, professional subject matter involving CCPD operations, credentialing and privileging principles, and medical/legal operations. You will analyze, verify, adapt and extend procedural guides and regulations to situations encountered in planning and accomplishing the work. You will write reports outlining the processes and procedures used in a study, the condition of the management or program operations and recommend improvements. You will ensure only designated personnel have access to the files and that no material is inserted or removed without approval of the Privileging Authority or his/her designee's. You will initiate and maintain contact with educational institutions, state licensing agencies, federal regulating agencies etc.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience establishing and maintaining Individual Professional Files (IDF) or Individual credentialing files (ICF) in correct format and order; Experience managing the medical credentialing review and clinical privileging recommendations process; Experience applying credentialing techniques and procedures to plan and complete assignments or programs; Experience receiving, reviewing, initiating actions, and providing guidance on completion of provider's applications for clinical privilege/staff appointments. FOR THE GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience maintaining records and documents, which represent an organization; Experience answering questions relating to credentialing reviews and privileging processes; Experience updating internal files for the organization. Experience developing detailed procedures and functions to enter and print data in various formats to meet reporting requirements.
