About the Position: Serves as a Facility Operations Specialist, responsible for the development and coordination/accomplishment of facilities management programs to include real property, environmental, space allocation, maintenance, and repair functions throughout the U. S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
Duties
Coordinates studies, plans, and programs required to achieve Master Plan objectives that includes mission changes, technological changes, Army directives, and changing standards of lifestyle.
Develops, analyzes, determines, and prepares necessary solutions to correct real property deficiencies.
Plans space use, moves, and space control. Serves as the building consultant for operating and staff offices on space management concepts and techniques.
Identifies problems and/or responds to problems presented by the staff. Ensures work orders for maintenance and construction are prepared and processed, and coordinates to ensure funding is available.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting Master Planning duties by reviewing building layouts, work orders, or service orders; AND 2) applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, procedures, codes, precedents applicable to the administration of space management or facilities management programs; AND 3) utilizing methods for developing cost estimates of maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
