As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Commercial Credit Lead Expert Support), you will carry out bank supervision objectives and functions in commercial credit by assisting the Commercial Credit Lead Expert in providing expert advice and support to the bank supervision functions in commercial lending.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Commercial Credit Lead Expert Support), you will:
Assist the Commercial Credit Lead Expert in providing advice to MCBS management, subject matter experts and specialists on matters involving commercial lending activities such as commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, asset based, and leverage lending.
Identify emerging issues throughout the organization in specialized commercial lending industries such as commercial real estate, agriculture, energy, manufacturing, transportation, etc., and coordinate findings with Lead Expert.
Lead or assist in commercial credit examinations at challenging and complex financial institutions including community, midsize and large banks.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor supervisory activities for commercial credit activities including assessing risk, developing supervisory strategies, determining the scope of supervisory activities, managing teams of assisting personnel, preparing reports of activities, and developing responses to address risks.
Provide leadership and training to other examiners and may instruct at formal schools in commercial credit analysis and commercial credit risk management.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Examining or auditing commercial credit risk management systems used to identify, measure, monitor and control risks, OR
Examining or auditing a financial institution's compliance with laws, regulations and guidance related to commercial lending.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
