This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serve as an Engineering Technician and/or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
Duties
Oversee all DPW BASOPS type services, engineering projects and Facilities Management related functions.
Monitor project budgets and schedules, assuring that commitments to the customer are met.
Coordinate, manage and report project milestones and budgets from planning through completion.
Represent the DPW as the primary point of contact for all Public Works issues.
Keep the DPW fully informed of project progress, facilities/infrastructure issues and their resolution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
- This position requires visits to construction sites and requires the wearing of protective clothing or equipment.
- Must obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
- Must obtain and maintain the Contracting Officer Representative certification upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service which includes the following: overseeing, planning, coordinating and tracking DPW BASOPS type services, engineering projects and Facilities Management related functions; monitoring project budgets and schedules, assuring that commitments to the customer are met; integrating schedules, milestones, budgets, responsibilities of the participating parties; providing status reports on projects.
